Churros

Churros or Spanish doughnuts always remind me of Melbourne. Me and J would drive all the way to Queen Victoria Market just to buy them from the churros van. We could eat a dozen of them in one go :D My homemade churros are crisp outside and moist inside, very similar to the ones we had back in Melbourne. For a more sinful treat, try dipping your churros in chocolate ^^

Churros

Ingredients:
75 gr butter
250 ml water
a pinch of salt
115 gr flour
15 gr sugar
2 eggs

Method:
1) Heat butter, water and salt. Stir until mixture starts to boil.
2) Add flour and sugar, mix until well combined. Remove from heat.
3) Add eggs, mix until well combined.
4) Place batter in a pastry bag.
5) Pipe into hot oil.
6) Deep-fry until golden brown over medium heat.
7) Drain excess oil. Dip in chocolate or sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon. Serve warm.

Thank you Thank you! I've been looking for a recipe everywhere - love churros but don't get them in India. And this recipe looks really do-able. Thanks!
