Durian Cake



Durian is the kind of fruit that you either hate or love. Some find it bitter, soft and the smell is intolerable. However, to the durian lovers, the fruit is fragrant, rich, sweet and intoxicating. So... what is your choice? :D

Durian Cake

Ingredients:
75 ml milk
135 gr butter

125 gr durian
150 gr flour

5 eggs
150 gr sugar
1 tsp vanilla essence

Method:
1) Heat milk and butter over low heat until butter melts. Do not boil.
2) Add durian and flour, whisk until smooth. Set aside.
3) Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla essence until thick and fluffy.
4) Add egg mixture to durian mixture, mix well.
6) Bake au-bain-marie at 180 deg C for 45 minutes.
7) Cool and serve.

Yield:
one 20 x 20 x 5 cm baking pan
