Egg Tarts



These egg tarts are specially baked for J :) Basically, he loves anything and everything to do with custard, so hopefully he will like them. The egg tarts have beautiful shape, they remind me of my first sunflowers from J *blush* (^^)

Egg Tarts

Pâte sucrée:
125 gr butter
45 gr sugar
1 egg yolk
1/2 egg white
1/2 tsp vanilla
200 gr flour

Custard Filling:
250 ml water 
70 ml condensed milk
3 eggs
1 tsp rum
1/2 tsp vanilla

Method:
1) Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
2) Add egg and vanilla, mix until well combined.
3) Add flour, mix until well combined.
4) Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
5) Press dough into tart moulds.
6) Bake pate sucree at 170 deg C for 10 minutes.
7) Pour custard filling into pâte sucrées. 
8) Bake at 170 deg C for 15 minutes.
9) Custard filling: Mix water, condensed milk, eggs, rum and vanilla until well combined. Sift and pour into pâte sucrées.

Yield:
19 tarts
